Nicholas Alvarado was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Arizona State University before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. 

While attending law school, Nicholas worked at DM Cantor as Summer Associate for two consecutive summers, where he gained hands-on experience assisting attorneys in a wide range of complex family law matters. He also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Dispute Resolution Section, where he gained valuable insight into the complexities of dispute resolution and collaborative problem-solving. In addition, Nicholas served as a Certified Legal Intern with the University of Dayton School of Law’s Civil Law Clinic, where he represented clients in court and worked directly with clients to address a variety of civil legal matters. These experiences provided him with a strong foundation and reinforced his commitment to helping people navigate the most difficult times of their lives. 

Nicholas currently serves as a Law Clerk at DM Cantor, pending admission to the State Bar of Arizona. In this role, he supports the firm’s family law practice by assisting attorneys with all aspects of client representation. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex family law matters through strategic advocacy, thorough preparation, and an unwavering commitment to understanding each client’s goals and priorities. 

In his free time, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his significant other and their dog, Stark. He also enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
