Kayla was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and from a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in the legal field. Inspired early on by Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU, she developed a passion for the legal industry. After graduating from high school, she earned her degree in Legal Studies from Pioneer Pacific College.

Her career began with an internship that led to an opportunity at a large civil law firm, where she served as a Lead Records Clerk for five years. She then transitioned to a boutique family law firm in 2014, where she spent three years gaining valuable experience before joining McKinley Irvin, a large family law firm in the Pacific Northwest.

She is now excited to transition from Oregon and learn the ropes at DM Cantor as a Senior Family Law Paralegal, supporting the firm and our clients. 

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys all the “basic” girl things: shopping, good coffee, Pilates, relaxing by the pool, watching reality TV, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is passionate about the work she does and grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
