Coming from Ohio, Nicholas earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law. After graduation, he completed a judicial clerkship with the Seventh Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada, where he gained firsthand experience in trial court operations, evidentiary procedures, and the factors influencing judicial decisions. He then expanded his analytical skills over six years working in the tax and accounting fields. He spent three years with the Arizona Department of Revenue litigating administrative appeals of business tax assessments, followed by three years in public accounting, where he gained a comprehensive understanding of financial documents, asset and business structures, and valuation issues that now inform his family law practice.

Since 2016, Nicholas has dedicated his practice solely to family law. He has conducted over one hundred evidentiary hearings and negotiated numerous settlements, consistently aiming for outcomes that balance risk, expense, and long-term client goals. He emphasizes collaborative problem-solving and cost-effective resolution methods, operating under the principle that well-structured agreements often surpass lengthy litigation for most families and individuals.
